The Shipowners’ Mutual Protection and Indemnity Association (Luxembourg) ("Shipowners") is committed to ensuring our digital services are accessible to all users, including people with disabilities and are actively working towards full compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA).
We strive to adhere to the accessibility standard outlined in the EAA, ensuring that our digital content is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust for all users. We are committed to maintaining compliance and addressing accessibility concerns in accordance with regulatory requirements and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCACG) 2.2. AA standards.
Significant updates have already been made across many areas of our digital services and all new developments are being designed and implemented to meet the EAA’s accessibility requirements. However, we acknowledge that some sections of our website and other digital platforms may not yet fully meet the new standards. We are committed to meeting the requirements set down by the EAA deadline, 28 June 2025.
Historical PDF/video/media published before 28 June 2025 are not accessible as it has been deemed to be a disproportionate burden for us to convert them. However, we are committed to providing accessible PDFs/video/media from 28 June 2025 onwards.
If you experience any accessibility issues, have any suggestions to enable the improvement of your experience with using our digital services, or require information in an alternative format, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We are here to support your needs and will be happy to assist you.
