We are currently seeking a Compliance Officer to join our small, generalist team on a permanent basis.  The successful candidate will have experience working in a generalist compliance role within an FCA/PRA regulated firm

We recognise the business benefits of having a diverse and inclusive community.  We all have something unique to bring to the table and by embracing those differences we seek to build and maintain an environment which attracts and values diversity and where everyone can develop their talents and be themselves. For us, diversity and inclusion goes above and beyond focusing on protected characteristics – we want all our colleagues to bring 100% of themselves to work. With a happy and engaged workforce we all strive to work together to be the best that we can be for the mutual benefit of ourselves and our Members.

We provide a fantastic working culture which celebrates high performance, offers opportunities for growth and provides a competitive suite of benefits including a hybrid working model which expects a minimum of 2 days in the office, although more may be required from time to time depending on business needs.

The role will provide support to the Risk & Compliance Manager in implementing and embedding our compliance framework across all offices, supporting the organisation’s regulatory obligations, fostering a strong compliance culture, and contributing to the Clubs’ success within a complex, multi-jurisdictional regulatory environment.

We are looking for someone with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to interpret regulations and assess practical implications for the business as well as strong communication skills and an ability to engage stakeholders. Previous compliance monitoring experience would be beneficial, as would experience providing support and guidance to colleagues.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role, ideally within the (re)insurance or broader financial services sector. Knowledge of financial crime, data protection and regulatory requirements is essential. This opportunity offers exposure to a wide range of regulatory regimes and opportunities to learn and build on existing knowledge through on-the-job experience as well as through further study and qualifications. Applicants may hold or be studying towards relevant professional compliance qualification (e.g., ICA, CISI, ACAMS) and support will be provided to complete or start studying.

We provide a supportive working environment which promotes working collaboratively to build knowledge and relationships.

Due to the large numbers of responses we receive, it is not possible to respond to every application. Only short-listed candidates will be contacted and therefore if you haven’t heard from us within 3 weeks, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

No Recruitment Agencies please.
